iPad (10th Gen) Receives Price Cut in Malaysia – Now Starts at RM1,799
May 7, 2024 Andrew Cheng

If the new iPad Pro and iPad Air don’t quite catch your fancy, this might: the entry-level 10th gen iPad is now more affordable in Malaysia. Previously retailing from RM1,999, the most budget-friendly iPad receives a flat RM200 price cut locally, bringing down the starting price to RM1,799.

The RM1,799 starting price is for the base 64GB model of the 10th gen iPad, while the more practical 256GB variant goes for RM2,549 now. Four colour options continue to be available: Blue, Pink, Yellow, and a more minimalist Silver.

At a glance, the most notable change to the updated iPad is the larger 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display with smaller bezels. There’s no more physical home button either, with Touch ID moved to the power button, much like how it is on other modern iPad tablets.

Under the hood, the revamped iPad also gets the Apple A14 Bionic chip, an upgrade over its predecessor’s A13 Bionic. The new iPad’s 12MP ultra-wide camera has also been moved to the landscape edge of the tablet for better video calling experience.

Other upgrades to the redesigned iPad include support for the new Magic Keyboard Folio and the 1st gen Apple Pencil, an updated 12MP rear camera, WiFi 6 and 5G support, and of course, a USB-C port.

You can now purchase the 10th gen iPad at the new RM1,799 and RM2,549 prices in Malaysia through Apple’s Malaysian online store. Chances are, retailers will adjust the pricing of the tablet in due time as well.
