Proton S70 Full Spec Sheet Leaks – Flagship X Model Gets Dashcam
November 27, 2023 Andrew Cheng

The Proton S70 is set to be launched in Malaysia tomorrow on 28 November. While the national carmaker has revealed most of the C-segment sedan’s specifications, some information are still under wraps. Well, until now – an alleged spec sheet of the S70 has started making its rounds on the internet.

This supposed spec sheet of the S70 was shared by one Zhen Feng Yap in the Paultan.org Automotive/Car Discussion Group on Facebook. The table outlines the equipment list of the S70’s four models, along with the sedan’s dimensions, wheelbase, and extra accessories. Most notably, the Flagship X model is the only one to get a dashcam.

That being said, it’s worth noting that this spec sheet did not come from official sources, so there’s always a chance it is not the finalised version.

As previously revealed by Proton, the spec sheet shows that all variants of the S70 are powered by the same 1.5L turbo engine that produces 150PS and 226Nm of torque. The mill is paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with Manual Mode.

In the safety side of things, the S70’s ADAS – exclusive to the Flagship and Flagship X trims – is similar to the X90‘s, albeit with the omission of Auto Park Assist (APA) and Emergency Lane Keep Assist (ELKA). That being said, this is still a very sophisticated ADAS, especially for a C-segment sedan. Not only does it have 12 different sensors, it also supports Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control, Lane Change Assist, and even Traffic Sign Information.

To recap, the Proton S70 will be launched in Malaysia tomorrow on 28 November; we’ll find out the local pricing of the C-segment sedan then. If you’d like to learn more about the S70, check out our test drive and walkaround video of the upcoming model.
