Tesla continues to expand its reach in the Malaysian market. From today until 12 November, the carmaker will be showcasing the Model 3 facelift and Model Y at the popular Sunway Pyramid mall in Subang Jaya. The company also officially launched its new Supercharging station at the mall, which we have previously reported on.
The Model 3 and Model Y are currently displayed at Sunway Pyramid’s Water Feature area on the ground floor. Both of them will be showcased there until 12 November next week, so you’ve got plenty of time to check out the two cars if you’re in the area.
As for the new Supercharging station in Sunway Pyramid, it is located right outside of the mall near the main entrance. The station has four stalls in total, and it is open to Tesla vehicles only. Not surprisingly, it follows the same fees as the Supercharging station in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. It costs RM1.25 per kWh – quite a competitive rate for a fast DC charger – and up to RM4 in idle fees. A RM5/hour parking fee is applicable too, as the Superchargers are located at the mall’s valet parking area.
To recap, the Tesla Model 3 facelift and Model Y are available for viewing in Sunway Pyramid until 12 November next week. Bookings for the two cars are also open now through Tesla’s website, with first deliveries for the Model 3 and Model Y happening in late 2023 and early 2024 respectively.
