Aside from the Predator BiFrost graphics cards, Acer also launched two new OLED gaming monitors in Malaysia. The Acer Predator CG48 features a sizeable 48-inch 4K panel, while the Acer Predator X27U has a blazing fast 240Hz screen.

Let’s start with the pricing of the two monitors. The Predator X27U is the more affordable product with a RM3,999 price tag, while the CG48, given its larger nature, retails at a cool RM5,999. It’s worth noting that Acer Malaysia will be doing a flash sale for the two monitors on 30 September tomorrow between 12PM to 2PM at its booth in NoizuCon 2023.

During the flash sale, where only a single unit of each monitor is offered, the CG48 and X27U will be discounted to only RM4,499 and RM2,999 – those are RM1,500 and RM1,000 worth of discounts respectively.

The biggest appeal of the CG48 has to be its large nature; at least, for a gaming monitor. It features the aforementioned 48-inch 4K OLED panel with a 138Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, as well as 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. It also has a 0.1ms grey-to-grey response time.

As for the X27U, it has a more modest 26.5-inch 2560 x 1440 OLED panel, though it has a much faster 240Hz refresh rate along with a 0.03ms grey-to-grey response time. It also covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space, AMD FreeSync Premium technology, and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

The Acer Predator X27U and Acer Predator CG48 are now available for purchase in Malaysia at Acer concept stores nationwide. To recap, the X27U retails at RM3,999, while the CG48 goes for RM5,999. Do note that until 1 October, Acer will offer the X27U and CG48 for RM3,599 and RM5,399 respectively. This deal is available at NoizuCon 2023 and through online channels.
