You can pre-order the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in Malaysia as early as next week on 22 September. Starting at RM4,399 and RM4,899 respectively, the base iPhones see a similar RM200 price hike as the Pro models on our shores.
Of course, you do get more phone for the money with the new iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. Not only do they come with a USB-C port now, the two phones get the Dynamic Island screen cutout as well. On top of that, there’s also an improved dual camera system that features a new 48MP main sensor.
Thanks to the new 48MP primary camera, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus can now do 2x lossless zoom, just like last year’s iPhone 14 Pro series. Aside from that, the standard iPhones are also powered by Apple’s A16 Bionic chip – yes, the same one found under the hood of last year’s Pro iPhones.
Display of the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus sees a nice upgrade too. With a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, the new screen is said to be twice as bright as the iPhone 14’s panel. The display is also protected by Ceramic Shield now, which is said to be “tougher than any smartphone glass.”
As mentioned, Malaysian pre-orders of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will start on 22 September next week from RM4,399 and RM4,899 respectively. Local deliveries will begin the following week on 29 September.
