We’ve got yet another spy shot of the Proton S50, which is believed to be the national carmaker’s upcoming replacement for the Preve sedan. This time around, we got a very, very upclose look at the colour options available for the S50, including the brand new “Teal Bayou Green.”
The image below was posted by The Ajerul on Facebook. The topmost image is the aforementioned Teal Bayou Green colour, and there’s a chance the car pictured is the S50 itself. After all, it looks to match the rear door design of the car’s donor model, the Geely Emgrand.
As for the other two colours offered for the S50 pictured below, they are Marine Blue and Passion Red, which made their debuts on the X90 and X50 respectively.
Anyway, the S50 is is rumoured to be launched in Malaysia as early as November 2023. On top of that, four different variants are said to be offered, and all of them will be powered by the familiar 1.5L TGDi engine that outputs 177PS and 255Nm of torque – the same one found under the hood of the X50 and X70.
Of course, until confirmed by Proton itself, take these rumoured details of the Proton S50 with a grain of salt, though the unavailability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is confirmed already. We should learn more about the S50 as we approach closer to the rumoured November 2023 launch of the sedan.
