At the Malaysian launch of the Honor Magic 5 Pro in Coral Purple, Honor Malaysia shared some updates on its business growth. According to the company, Honor has almost 10% market share in the Malaysian smartphone market now.
This was shared by the deputy country director of Honor Malaysia, Matthew Ng. He added that in the premium smartphone market – defined by the company as devices above RM4,000 – Honor is sitting at the number three spot. These figures are accurate as of Q2 2023.

Currently, Honor offers a wide range of smartphones at various price points. There’s the Honor 90, Honor 90 Lite, Honor Magic Vs foldable phone, and of course, the Magic 5 Pro. It’s worth noting that the flagship phone recently received a RM300 price cut, bringing down the price to RM3,999. This pricing is applicable to the new Coral Purple model too.
Speaking of which, the Honor Magic 5 Pro in Coral Purple will be available for purchase in Malaysia tomorrow on 25 August for RM3,999. Do note that this is a limited edition model launched in conjunction with our Merdeka celebration, so expect units to be…well, limited.
