Proton’s much anticipated sedan, the Proton S50, has been seen on Malaysian roads yet again. This particular test mule of the S50 bears the same trade plate as the unit seen in our previous spy shot, though it looks like the car is now sporting a bodykit of sorts.
These images of the S50 were taken by one Joseph Kong and shared by Paultan.org. Though most of the car’s exterior is still covered in camouflage, it does look to be equipped with a bodykit now. This is especially evident on the front lip, side skirts, and what looks to be a bootlid spoiler.

Anyway, the S50 is is rumoured to be launched in Malaysia as early as November 2023. On top of that, four different variants are said to be offered, and all of them will be powered by the familiar 1.5L TGDi engine that outputs 177PS and 255Nm of torque – the same one found under the hood of the X50 and X70.
Of course, until confirmed by Proton itself, take these rumoured details on the Proton S50 with a grain of salt – except for the unavailability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. We should learn more about the S50 as we approach closer to the rumoured November 2023 launch of the sedan.
