Tesla Opening Service, Experience Centres & Head Office in Selangor This Year – PM Anwar
July 14, 2023 Andrew Cheng

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, had a meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, earlier today. In the meeting, it’s confirmed that Tesla will be opening its service and experience centres, as well as a head office in Selangor sometime this year.

Evidently, Tesla is expanding its presence in Malaysia rapidly. After all, the carmaker is set to make its Malaysian debut next week on 20 July, and ahead of the launch, the Tesla Model Y is already available for order in Malaysia earlier today with a RM199,000 starting price.

Also unveiled today are 10 Supercharger locations that will be made available in Malaysia. While most of them are listed in the Klang Valley area – six of them, in fact – several states will also get Supercharger stations, including Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Perak, and Johor.

Given that Tesla will be opening its experience stores in Selangor as early as this year, eager customers may be able to view the carmaker’s various models very soon. While only the Model Y is available for order now – with deliveries estimated for early 2024 – it’s worth noting that the Model 3 is also featured on Tesla’s Malaysian website.
