PRISM+ Q Ultra Google TVs Land in Malaysia – Affordable 4K QLED TVs From RM2,299
May 16, 2023 Andrew Cheng

PRISM+ launched a new lineup of 4K smart TVs in Malaysia, and it brings a slew of improvements over last year’s Q Pro TVs. The new PRISM+ Q Ultra series now features brighter 4K QLED panels, and all three models – from 55-inch to 75-inch – run on Google TV too.

Let’s start with pricing. The most affordable 55-inch Q55 Ultra is priced at RM2,299, while the 65-inch Q65 Ultra goes for RM3,299. If you want the largest 75-inch Q75 Ultra, it will set you back RM4,499. According to PRISM+, these prices are up to 35% lower when compared to similar models from traditional brands.

The biggest upgrade the Q Ultra series brings is certainly the 4K QLED panel. Not only does it support HDR10+ now, it also features Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. On top of that, the smart TV runs on Google TV too, promising improved user experience and personalisation compared to Android TV.

Other specifications of the Q Ultra TVs include Filmmaker Mode – it automatically detects and supports a content’s original format, as the company puts it – three HDMI 2.0 ports, HDMI ARC, two USB 2.0 connections, and of course, built-in Chromecast.

“As a brand, PRISM+ is always looking to make premium technologies accessible to the masses,” said the country director of PRISM+ Malaysia, Eric Kam. “The introduction of our 4K QLED displays to our TV lineup marks yet another milestone in our history as we seek to bring affordable home cinematic experiences to greater heights,” he added.

The PRISM+ Q Ultra series will be available for purchase in Malaysia later today on PRISM+’s website, Shopee, Lazada, as well as its retail stores in Sunway Pyramid and IOI City Mall. To recap, the Q55 Ultra starts at RM2,299, while the larger Q65 Ultra and Q75 Ultra retail at RM3,299 and RM4,499 respectively.

It’s worth noting that every purchase of the new Q Ultra TVs also comes with complimentary subscriptions to several streaming services, including Viu, Durioo+, WeTV, and meWATCH.
