Asus ROG Phone 7 Launching (Earlier Than Expected) on 13 April – Coming to Malaysia
March 24, 2023 Andrew Cheng

It looks like Asus is launching its 2023 gaming phone earlier than expected. The Asus ROG Phone 7 is set to be unveiled on 13 April next month, which is almost three months earlier than the debut of the ROG Phone 6 series last year. Naturally, the phone (or rather, phones) will be coming to Malaysia too.

Given that the ROG Phone 7’s existence is confirmed, we reached out to Asus Malaysia to enquire about its availability in our market. Not surprisingly, we were told that the upcoming gaming phone will be coming to Malaysia, though it remains to be seen if it will be available here right after the global debut.

No details on the exact specifications of the ROG Phone 7 have been revealed, though we reckon it will at least be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. There should be two devices too: a standard model and a higher-end Pro variant, just like previous iterations of the ROG Phone series.

Of course, these are just educated guesses on our part. We’ll just have to wait until 13 April next month to find out just what the Asus ROG Phone 7 will bring to the table. If the teaser image is anything to go by, there’s a chance the gaming phone will be sporting a new design language of sorts.
