Aside from the (almost obscenely) powerful Raider GE78HX, MSI also introduced a more compact laptop, the MSI Stealth Studio 14. One of the best selling points of the laptop – in my opinion, at least – is the fact that it’s a reasonably capable gaming laptop in a 14-inch form factor.

Offered in only one variant in Malaysia, the Stealth 14 Studio is priced at RM9,999. For that kind of money, it features an Intel Core i7-13700H processor paired with up to 16GB of DDR5 RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, a rather sharp 14-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS-level display with a very fast 240Hz refresh rate, as well as a PCIE 4.0 SSD, though the exact capacity was not detailed.

Given the 14-inch form factor of the Stealth 14 Studio, it is without a doubt a compact gaming laptop. It’s quite lightweight and thin as well with a 19mm chassis that tips the scales at 1.7kg. It’s a laptop I wouldn’t mind lugging around at all.

Sure, RM9,999 for “only” an RTX 4060 gaming laptop isn’t exactly great value proposition, but the MSI Stealth 14 Studio is a compact gaming laptop; there’s not much competition in this space. Alternatively, there’s the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, though the new 2023 model hasn’t arrived here yet.
