Vivo X90 Pro Also Coming to Malaysia – Zeiss Camera System With 1″ Sensor
December 30, 2022 Andrew Cheng

We previously reported the Vivo X90’s SIRIM certification earlier this month, and it seems like the higher-end Vivo X90 Pro is also coming to Malaysia. While it features a Zeiss-branded camera system like the X90, the Pro model has a more sophisticated configuration.

The Vivo X90 was registered with SIRIM just a few days ago on 27 December under Vtalent Business with the model number V2219. Electronic devices in Malaysia have to be certified by SIRIM first before they can be officially sold on our shores, so the X90 Pro should be launched here very soon.

Unlike the Zeiss-branded camera setup of the standard X90, the X90 Pro features a more sophisticated 50MP main shooter with a large 1-inch sensor for improved camera performance. Complementing the primary camera are a 50MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultra-wide angle shooter.

Other specifications of the X90 Pro include a 6.78-inch 2800 x 1260 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, a 32MP selfie camera, an IP68 rating, as well as a 4,870mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.

Now that the Vivo X90 and X90 Pro have been certified by SIRIM, we reckon both phones will be launched in Malaysia very soon. It remains to be seen if the X90 Pro+ will be made available here as well, but given that two phones in the series are in SIRIM’s database already, there’s a good chance it will be sold on our shores too.
