It looks like Vivo is gearing up to launch its latest flagship smartphone in Malaysia, the Vivo X90. Sporting a Zeiss-branded camera system with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset, it’s quite an interesting high-end smartphone.
As usual, we spotted the Vivo X90 in SIRIM’s database; it was registered with the model number V2218 just today on 7 December under Vtalent Business. Electronic devices in Malaysia have to be certified by SIRIM first before they can be officially sold on our shores, so the X90 should be launched locally very soon.

As mentioned, the Vivo X90 features a Zeiss-branded triple camera system made up of a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 12MP portrait lens. It also features a 6.78-inch 2800 x 1260 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 32MP selfie camera, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage, as well as a 4,810mAh battery.
Now that the Vivo X90 has been certified by SIRIM, we reckon it will be launched in Malaysia very soon. For the sake of comparison, the X90 is priced from 3,699 Chinese yuan in China, which comes up to about RM2,335. It remains to be seen if the other two devices in the series (X90 Pro and X90 Pro+) will also make it here.
