iPhone 14 & iPhone 14 Plus Retail From RM4,199 in Malaysia – Pre-Orders Open 16 September
September 8, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Well well, it looks like the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are coming to Malaysia very soon. Pre-orders of the two phones are set to open on Malaysia Day next week on 16 September, though there’s also a price hike for our market.

The more affordable phone of the two is the iPhone 14, which starts at RM4,199 for the 128GB model. Compared to the iPhone 13 at launch, this is a RM300 price hike, unfortunately enough. As for the iPhone 14 Plus – a completely new model in the lineup – it retails from RM4,699 on our shores for the same 128GB capacity.

On paper, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are very similar to the iPhone 13 series: they soldier on with the same A15 Bionic chip that made its debut last year. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, of course, given the sheer processing power of the chip – not even the latest Android phones can match the performance level of the A15.

Beyond that, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus also feature a new 12MP primary sensor, which promises superior camera performance, especially in low light conditions. The ultra-wide angle lens offers better low light performance too, and the 12MP TrueDepth selfie camera is now packed with autofocus capability – say goodbye to blurry selfies.

You can pre-order the new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus in Malaysia next week on 16 September. The former will be available here from 23 September onwards, while the iPhone 14 Plus is set to arrive on our shores slightly later on 7 October.
