After an initial delay, the Asus ROG Phone 6 will finally start shipping to customers in Malaysia sometime this week. If you want to check out the gaming phone in person, you can do that too from 13 August onwards at selected stores.
To recap, two variants of the ROG Phone 6 are available in Malaysia. The base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs RM3,599, while the 16GB + 512GB configuration goes for RM4,399. These prices are quite a bit lower than the Pro model, which is priced at RM4,999.
For that kind of money, the ROG Phone 6 features Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a blazing fast 165Hz refresh rate. This panel also has a high 720Hz sampling rate, giving it a touch latency of only 23ms.
Other specifications of the ROG Phone 6 Pro include a triple camera system (50MP primary + 13MP ultra-wide + macro), a 12MP selfie camera, an illuminated ROG logo on the back panel, capacitive shoulder buttons, and a generous 6,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
If you’ve pre-ordered the Asus ROG Phone 6, expect it to be delivered to you sometime this week. If you’d like to try out the gaming phone for yourself first, you can do so at these stores from 13 August onwards.
