If the Reno 8 Pro is out of your budget, consider the more affordable Oppo Reno 8, which has also been launched in Malaysia. Though it doesn’t have the Pro model’s MariSilicon X Imaging NPU, it does share the same design language as the higher-end phone.

For the Malaysian market, the Reno 8 is offered in only one variant; it’s packed with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for RM2,399. It is also available in two colour options: the eye-catching Shimmer Gold you see here, and Shimmer Black if you want something more understated.

Other specifications of the Reno 8 include a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, a 6.4-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro), a 32MP selfie camera, a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
