Oppo just launched a new premium mid-range phone in Malaysia, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro. What sets this phone apart from its competition is Oppo’s very own MariSilicon X Imaging NPU, which promises “flagship-level portrait camera experience.”
Only one variant of the Reno 8 Pro is available in Malaysia. Sporting 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, it is priced at RM3,499. Early pre-orders are also bundled with up to RM1,436 worth of freebies, and two colour options are offered: Glazed Green and Glazed Black.

In the camera department, the Reno 8 Pro comes with a triple camera system made up of a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. Its selfie camera, on the other hand, features a 32MP sensor.
Other specifications of the Reno 8 Pro include a MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX chipset, a 6.7-inch 2412 x 1080 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a rather generous 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, and ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.

The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is now available for pre-order in Malaysia for RM3,499 until 29 July. To recap, early birds will receive up to RM1,486 worth of freebies, which include a one-year screen damage protection, a gift box worth RM399, as well as My Oppo Members Privilege worth up to RM888.
