The 2022 Perodua Alza is here, and the national carmaker revealed at the launch event that a whopping 30,000 bookings have been placed for the new MPV. Perodua said this is the highest amount of orders it has ever received for a new model.

“This achievement was due to several factors, chief among them was that customers wanted to take full advantage of sales tax exemption initiative which expired on 30 June 2022,” said the president and CEO of Perodua, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

He further elaborated that of the 200,000 bookings the national carmaker currently hold, nearly 15% of that figure is made up of the 2022 Alza. On top of that, over 4,000 customers converted their orders of the previous generation Alza to this 2nd gen model even before bookings were open for it.

“We assure our customers who booked their all-new Perodua Alza on or before 30 June will receive their vehicle before the 31 March 2023 deadline,” Dato’ Zainal said. This way, early birds will get tax-free prices on the MPV.
