At the launch event of the 2022 Honda HR-V, the Japanese carmaker revealed that it has received over 20,000 bookings for the B-segment SUV. Aside from that, the company also confirmed the 12 months waiting period for the new model.

Among the four variants of the updated HR-V, Honda Malaysia said the V model is the most popular one, accounting for over 60% of total bookings. This is followed by the RS (20%) and E (13%) trims, while the base S model is the least popular option despite being the most affordable.

Honda Malaysia expects to sell 1,600 units of the HR-V per month. But with over 20,000 bookings already recorded, we reckon the carmaker’s monthly sale of the SUV will be limited by how many units it can produce in the time period.

The Japanese carmaker assures customers that it will deliver the 2022 Honda HR-V in a timely manner. If you placed a booking for the SUV by 30 June, do note that you’ll get to enjoy the tax-free prices, which can save you up to RM4,952.
