Back at the launch of ACO Tech’s ATLAS (ACO Tech Local Automotive Services) infotainment system early last month, the company mentioned of a global partnership with an audio streaming service. Well, ACO Tech finally revealed today that it’s Spotify, and the service will be available on selected Proton models soon.
Touted as an infotainment system made by Malaysians for Malaysians, ATLAS will be offered on a slew of Proton models, including the X50, Iriz, Persona, and the new 2022 Proton X70. Spotify is said to be added to selected Proton models sometime this quarter, so it should be available by September 2022.

Based on Android 10, ATLAS has a distinctively different – and more practical – user interface than Proton’s GKUI system. It has customisable widgets on the home screen, offline navigation, and even voice command features that can differentiate between the driver’s and front passenger’s voices.
“I’m incredibly proud of the steady progress the team has achieved in introducing the capabilities of a humanised connected lifestyle to a wider public in Malaysia through meaningful brand collaborations,” said the CEO of ACO Tech, Li Pu.
“Working together with Spotify is an important milestone for ACO Tech as the partnership not only helps us to stay competitive in the smart mobility industry, it is also instrumental in easing Malaysians into the possibilities of smart and connected car technologies,” he added.

Spotify is set to be available on the ATLAS infotainment system sometime in Q3 2022 on selected Proton models. To learn more about ATLAS and other offerings by ACO Tech, you can head on to its website right here.
