If you’re thinking of purchasing the new enhanced TNG card with NFC through the TNG eWallet app, take note: the card is limited to only two units per order. On top of that, Touch ‘n Go is also expecting demand to exceed supply, which is likely why the limit is imposed.
Interestingly, the two cards per order limit only applies to online orders through the TNG eWallet app. No limit is imposed for over-the-counter purchases at retail outlets, as outlined in the FAQ. If you do get the new card through the app, you’ll have to pay RM5 for shipping as well, on top of the RM10 price per card.
“Given the global chip shortage, we expect demand to exceed supply. So, I’d like to urge patience amongst our users as we try to get these cards to you as soon as possible,” said the group CEO of Touch ‘n Go Group, Effendy Shahul Hamid.
If stocks of the new enhanced TNG card with NFC do run out, users can register their interest for the card through the TNG eWallet app; they will be notified when the card is available for purchase again. You can download the TNG eWallet app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
