Surprise surprise, Touch ‘n Go has officially launched the new “enhanced” TNG card with NFC capability. On top of that, the ability to reload the card through the TNG eWallet app is now available as well.
As we’ve previously reported, the enhanced TNG card costs RM10, and it is available for purchase through the TNG eWallet app itself and selected retail locations nationwide. Do note that the new card has no credit when you purchase it, so you’re basically paying the RM10 just for the card itself.

Of course, as the enhanced TNG card uses NFC for reload purposes, you’ll need a device with NFC capability in order to top-up the card through the TNG eWallet app. In our experience, it’s a relatively fuss-free affair too – certainly more convenient than reloading the card at a kiosk, for example.
If you want to purchase the new enhanced TNG card with NFC through the TNG eWallet app – or you’ve already got one, and you want to reload it through the app – make sure the app is updated to the latest version. You can check for any update through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
