Deal: Nintendo Switch OLED Price Drops to RM1,349
April 11, 2022 Andrew Cheng

It’s been a while since the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) was launched, so not surprisingly, the price of the portable console is steadily going down. Previously going for as low as RM1,459, you can now get the latest and greatest Switch at only RM1,349.

This deal is offered by Shopee Mall retailer Impulse Gaming; one of the most renowned game stores in Malaysia. Unfortunately, only the White colour option is available now, and curiously, both the Maxsoft and export sets are listed at the same price.

Given that the Maxsoft set offers a 12-month warranty – Maxsoft is the official distributor of Nintendo products in Southeast Asia – it’s definitely the variant to go for. The export unit only comes with a 3-month warranty from Impulse itself.

Compared to its predecessor, the new OLED Switch features a larger 7-inch OLED panel with thinner bezels. It also has double the internal storage at 64GB, and the stand sees a design revision as well. Instead of the original Switch’s fragile-looking stand, this new Switch uses a much sturdier, wider stand that is also adjustable.

Other changes introduced in the new OLED Switch include a new dock with a wired LAN port, “enhanced audio” from the system’s onboard speakers, and between 4.5 to 9 hours of battery life – the same quoted battery life as its predecessor.

If you want to get the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) for only RM1,349, you can do so from Impulse Gaming on Shopee. Not sure if it’s worth upgrading from an older model? Then check out our comparison between the new OLED Switch and the original one.
