2022 Honda Civic Launched in Malaysia – 3 Variants, Honda Sensing as Standard, From RM126k

The all-new 2022 Honda Civic has just been launched in Malaysia! As per our previous report, three different variants of the 11th gen Civic are available in Malaysia: the base E, mid-tier V, and range-topping RS. Surprisingly enough, Honda Sensing is now standard across the board. Yes, even the most affordable E model gets the driver assistance system.

Of course, that also mean prices are up across the board. The most affordable E trim costs RM125,634.64, while the mid-tier V model goes for RM138,043.36. The range-topping RS variant, on the other hand, is priced at RM144,350.09. These prices are with sales tax exemption applied until 30 June 2022.

With the launch of the 2022 Civic, the 1.8L engine is no longer offered. All variants of the new sedan now feature the updated 1.5L turbo mill. It outputs 182PS and 240Nm of torque, which is 9PS and 20Nm more than the 10th gen Civic. Naturally, it’s still paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Just like the Civic FC, the 11th gen model can be purchased in five different shades: Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, and Ignite Red Metallic. The latter two are new paints for the Civic, which are also offered for the City Hatchback.

The 2022 Honda Civic is now available for booking in Malaysia, and you can head to your nearest Honda dealership to do so. Alternatively, you can also book it online here, or even through the HondaTouch app – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
