2022 Honda Civic – 3 Variants Confirmed for Malaysia, No 1.8L Model

Bookings for the all-new 11th generation Honda Civic is now open in Malaysia. While the Japanese carmaker did not reveal the variants that will be offered here, we managed to confirm that three trims are available. As we’ve previously reported, the 1.8L model is no more either.

We caught wind of this through the online booking system of Honda Malaysia. If you opt to book the new Civic, six variants are shown in the booking page. The S, TC, and TC-P trims fall under the 10th gen lineup, leaving the other three models (RS, V, and E) reserved for the new 11th gen Civic.

Looking at the model names, it pretty much confirms the discontinuation of the 1.8L engine; all variants of the 2022 Civic seem to feature the updated 1.5L turbo mill. It now outputs 182PS and 240Nm of torque, which is 9PS and 20Nm more than the current 10th gen Civic.

Colour options for the new Civic were detailed too. Just like the Civic FC, the 11th gen model can be purchased in five different shades: Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, and Ignite Red Metallic. The latter two are new paints for the Civic, which are also offered for the City Hatchback.

Of course, prices of the new 2022 Honda Civic were not revealed in the booking form. We’ll just have to wait until Q1 2022 when the C-segment sedan is launched here in Malaysia.
