This Is Oppo’s First Foldable Phone, the Oppo Find N

Oppo just launched its first-ever foldable smartphone, the Oppo Find N. Though it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 at a glance, it actually has a number of unique features, including a more compact (and usable) cover screen in a premium package.

Unlike the Z Fold 3’s tall cover screen, the exterior display of the Find N is a wider, shorter 5.49-inch 1972 x 988 AMOLED screen. Thanks to its compact form factor, it’s much, much easier to navigate the phone with only one hand. It gives the phone a rather “cute” appeal too, in my opinion.

As you unfold the phone, you’ll be greeted by the Find N’s 7.1-inch 1920 x 1792 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, which looks great with vibrant colours and deep blacks. It is also made out of Ultra Thin Glass with a “12-layer” display structure; the phone can supposedly be folded 200,000 times without issues.

Other specifications of the Find N include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, two storage options (256GB or 512GB), a triple camera system (50MP main + 16MP ultra-wide angle + 13MP telephoto), 32MP selfie shooters on the inner and outer displays, as well as a 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

At the moment, the Oppo Find N is only confirmed to be launched in China. No word yet on exactly how much the foldable phone will cost, though we were told it will be “more affordable than its competition.”
