Bookings for the 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift were only opened last week on 9 November, and in a span of just one week, over 3,000 bookings for the refreshed B-segment hatchback have already been made – that’s quite impressive.
This was revealed by the CEO and President of Perodua himself, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad, in an report by Astro Awani. Given the amount of upgrades the new Myvi is set to receive – and the fact that it is one of the most popular cars on Malaysian roads – it’s no surprise that the hatchback is so well-received.
One of the most highlighted new features of the facelifted Myvi is its Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA) system, which is essentially level 2 semi-autonomous driving. This means the PSDA can control the steering and throttle input of the car in certain situations, such as highway driving.
The fact that the updated Myvi will sport this driver assistance system at this price point is a big deal. To put this into context, the updated hatchback is set to retail from RM45,700 to RM58,800. Slightly more costly than the current model’s range – RM41,292 to RM52,697 – but you are getting quite a number of noteworthy upgrades.
The 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift will debut tomorrow on 18 November at 9PM. You can catch the online launch of the new hatchback on Perodua’s YouTube channel or Facebook page. The New Myvi is also open for booking at Perodua showrooms nationwide right now or online here.
