Two more days until the 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift debuts, and as usual, the national carmaker continues to drop teasers for the refreshed B-segment hatchback. This time around, Perodua is teasing the level 2 autonomous driving capability of the new Myvi.
Dubbed Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA) system, the teaser video below shows the Lane Departure Prevention (LDP) feature in action. As soon as the new Myvi starts drifting to another lane, the system automatically keeps the car back in the middle of the lane.
As the PSDA system was highlighted in the video, it’s likely that the updated Myvi will sport other features that make up the system. These include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Control (LKC), Blind Spot Monitor (BSM), Pre-Collision Braking, and even Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB).
The fact that the facelifted Myvi will sport PSDA at this price point is a big deal. To put this into context, the updated hatchback is set to retail from RM45,700 to RM58,800. Slightly more costly than the current model’s range – RM41,292 to RM52,697 – but you are getting quite a number of noteworthy upgrades.
The 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift will debut this Thursday on 18 November at 9PM. You can catch the online launch of the new hatchback on Perodua’s YouTube channel or Facebook page. The New Myvi is also open for booking at Perodua showrooms nationwide right now or online here.
