Lenovo Malaysia just announced the local availability of its latest gaming phone, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2. While it looks strikingly similar to its predecessor, the Legion Phone Duel 2 does have some notable upgrades: not only does it have two cooling fans, it’s also slightly more affordable.
For the Malaysian market, two variants of the Legion Phone Duel 2 are available. The base model with 256GB of non-expandable storage and 12GB of RAM costs RM3,299, while the more generous 512GB configuration with 16GB of RAM goes for RM3,899.
It’s worth noting that these prices are actually RM100 less than what the original Legion Phone went for at launch.
As mentioned, the Legion Phone Duel 2 comes with two cooling fans housed inside the peculiar (and large) centre-positioned camera module. The intake fan draws in cool air, while the hidden exhaust fan removes hot air; each of them have their own vents.
This being a gaming smartphone, the Legion Phone Duel 2 features a fast 6.92-inch 1080p AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. On top of that, it also retain its predecessor’s side-mounted 44MP pop-up selfie camera. When you’re gaming with the phone in landscape mode, the selfie camera won’t be obstructed by your hands.
Other specifications of the Legion Phone Duel 2 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, a dual camera system (64MP primary + 16MP ultra-wide angle), as well as an absolutely generous 5,500mAh battery with support for blazing fast 90W fast charging. This can supposedly charge up the phone to 50% from empty in only 12 minutes.
According to Lenovo Malaysia, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 is now available for purchase in Malaysia on Shopee and Lazada. To recap, the 256GB + 12GB model retails at RM3,299, while the 512GB + 16GB configuration costs RM3,899.
