Genshin Impact 1.3 Update Will Add More Resin, iOS Controller Support & More
January 20, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Mihoyo just revealed new features that will be coming to Genshin Impact in the Version 1.3 update. Set to be rolled out early next month in February, the update will offer players more resin, support for controllers on iOS devices, and a number of other quality-of-life improvements.

One of the biggest changes that will be added with the Genshin Impact 1.3 update is definitely the opportunity for players to get more resin. According to Mihoyo, the Battle Pass will now reward players with one Fragile Resin every 10 levels from Level 5 onwards. This applies to both the free and paid battle passes, so those who purchased the battle pass will get two Fragile Resins instead of only one when they reach the required levels.

Aside from that, controller support for iOS devices is also coming with the Version 1.3 update. Supported controllers include the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 controller, Bluetooth version of the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, and certain Bluetooth controllers made for iOS devices. Of course, in order to enjoy this feature, your Apple device has to be updated to iOS 14.

Other changes that will be added to Genshin Impact 1.3 include support for pre-loading future updates of the game prior to release on mobile devices – this was previously available on the PC version only – a material conversion mechanic of sorts (more details will be revealed soon), as well as the ability to hold down a button over weapon enhancement materials to add or remove them.

These changes will be added to Genshin Impact once Version 1.3 of the game is live. Mihoyo did not reveal exactly when the new update is set to drop, though it is very likely to go live right after Ganyu’s Adrift in the Harbor banner ends on 2 February next month.
