Yet another PlayStation 5 accessory just passed through SIRIM. This time around, it’s the Pulse 3D wireless headset for the next generation console. This suggests that Sony Malaysia could be gearing up to launch the PS5 on our shores once it is available globally on 19 October.
The Pulse 3D wireless headset was registered with SIRIM under Sony Malaysia with the model number CFI-ZWH1 earlier this week on 30 September. This makes it the third PS5 accessory to appear in SIRIM’s database, right after the media remote for the console and the DualSense controller.
Unfortunately, the PS5 itself has not been registered with SIRIM yet, but given that its other accessories have already gone through the certification body, we reckon it’s only a matter of time before it makes an appearance. After all, Sony Malaysia already ran a survey for the PS5 in late August.
However, whether or not the PS5 will be available in Malaysia on 19 November itself – that’s the global release date for the console – is an entirely different question. Pre-orders for the console already ran in other markets (including Singapore), but Sony Malaysia is still relatively quiet about any form of pre-order for the console.
Regardless, we will keep a close eye on the local availability of the PlayStation 5. Hopefully, we will also be getting the next generation console on 19 November; the fact that the Pulse 3D wireless headset has appeared in SIRIM is certainly a promising sign.
