The Xiaomi Mi 10T series is launching globally next week on 30 September. Set to be another range of premium smartphones, we just got confirmation that the new devices will be arriving here in Malaysia the following week on 6 October. This comes after we spotted the phone in SIRIM’s database earlier this week.
Not much has been revealed about the Mi 10T series, but according to leaks and rumours, it will be made up of at least two phones: the regular Mi 10T and the (logically) higher-end Mi 10T Pro. Both phones will supposedly support 5G networks as well, and one of them will ship with a new 5G-enabled Qualcomm chipset, which is likely the Snapdragon 750G SoC.
Aside from that, the Mi 10T Pro is said come with a fast 144Hz AMOLED screen too. If it does, it will be Xiaomi’s first smartphone to sport such a high refresh rate display. Granted, it’s not the first phone to feature a 144Hz panel – it’s been done by Nubia and Asus – but it will give the phone a nice hardware advantage over other flagship smartphones.
Other rumoured specifications of the Mi 10T Pro include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, a quad camera system headlined by a 108MP sensor, as well as a very generous 5,000mAh battery. Basically, it’s set to be a flagship smartphone through and through.
The global launch for the Xiaomi Mi 10T series will be taking place next week on 30 September. It will then make its Malaysian debut the following week on 6 October.
