Honor 200 Series Arrives in Malaysia From RM1,899 – Snapdragon 8s Gen 3
June 19, 2024 Andrew Cheng

The Honor 200 series has just been launched in Malaysia. Made up of the standard Honor 200 and the higher-end Honor 200 Pro, the two phones are quite a bit more capable than their respective predecessors.

Let’s talk about the pricing of the two phones first. For the Malaysian market, the Honor 200 is priced at RM1,899 and RM2,199 for the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB models respectively. As for the Honor 200 Pro, it’s offered in the sole 12GB + 512GB configuration for RM2,699.

While the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro look quite similar to each other, they do have some distinct differences. Powering the Honor 200 Pro, for one, is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the more affordable Honor 200 features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip instead.

Beyond the different chipset, the Honor 200 Pro also has a more sophisticated triple camera system that consists of a 50MP shooter with a custom H9000 sensor – similar to the one found on the Honor Magic 6 Pro – a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera. The Honor 200 has a similar camera setup too, but its 50MP primary camera uses a more conventional Sony IMX 906 sensor.

Other specifications of the Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro include a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50MP selfie camera, as well as a 5,200mAh battery with support for 100W charging. Both devices also ship with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 out of the box.

The Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro are now available for pre-order in Malaysia with a RM20 deposit. Those who place an order by 27 June will also get RM1,078 worth of freebies, including up to RM200 rebate, a Honor Earbuds X6, and a 365-day front and back crack replacement.
