Xiaomi Mi Watch Retails at RM469 in Malaysia – Available Tomorrow

Xiaomi just revealed the Malaysian pricing of its latest smartwatch, the Xiaomi Mi Watch. Set to go on sale tomorrow on 20 January, the Mi Watch retails at RM469 for our local market – a decent price tag for a smartwatch of this calibre.

Of course, at this price point, the Mi Watch is quite a bit more costly than the far more affordable Mi Watch Lite, which retails at only RM249. But you do get a number of notable upgrades with the former, including a circular display with a higher quality panel.

Instead of the Mi Watch Lite’s LCD screen, the Mi Watch is equipped with a sharper, more vibrant 1.39-inch 454 x 454 AMOLED display. It also has a much larger 420mAh battery that promises up to 16 days of use on a single charge. In comparison, the Mi Watch Lite only has a quoted battery life of up to nine days.

Other specifications of the Mi Watch include 117 workout modes, over 100 watchfaces, a heart rate sensor, the ability to measure blood oxygen level, a 5 ATM water resistance rating, as well as a “high-end” 12nm GPS chip. It’s said to take advantage of customised mileage optimisation algorithms to improve movements and mileage accuracy for more precise fitness data.

The Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite will be available for purchase in Malaysia tomorrow on Shopee and Lazada for RM469. Three colour options are offered: Black, Navy Blue, and Beige.
