Xiaomi 13T & Xiaomi 13T Pro Unleashed in Malaysia – Leica Triple Camera, From RM1,799

Xiaomi just unveiled its latest smartphones, the Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro. Not only are these two phones quite capable devices with (relatively) affordable price tags, they also feature a Leica-branded triple camera system.

First, prices. For Malaysia, two variants of the Xiaomi 13T are available: 8GB + 256GB (RM1,699, online exclusive) and 12GB + 256GB (RM1,999). As for the higher-end Xiaomi 13T Pro, three configurations are offered locally: 12GB + 256GB (RM2,399, online exclusive), 12GB + 512GB (RM2,699), and a whopping 16GB + 1TB model (RM3,499).

While both the 13T and 13T Pro share quite a number of hardware – including the Leica camera system – the two phones do have some differences here and there. The 13T Pro, for one, features a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, while the 13T is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra. The 13T Pro also comes with faster 120W charging over the 13T’s 67W fast charging.

Beyond the different chipset and charging rate, the 13T and 13T Pro share similar hardware. These include a 6.67-inch 2712 x 1220 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a Leica triple camera system (50MP main + 50MP telephoto + 12MP ultra-wide), a 20MP selfie camera, an IP68 rating, as well as a 5,000mAh battery.

The Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro will be available for pre-order in Malaysia from 27 September tomorrow until 6 October. To recap, the 13T starts at RM1,699, while the 13T Pro retails from RM2,399.
