Xiaomi 13 Pro Unleashed in Malaysia – Leica Camera, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, From RM4,599

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has just been launched in Malaysia today. Sporting a Leica-branded triple camera system and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, it’s certainly a premium flagship smartphone…with matching price tags.

Two variants of the Xiaomi 13 Pro are available in Malaysia. The base model with 256GB of storage and 12GB RAM retails at RM4,599, while the 512GB configuration – touted as a limited edition model – with the same amount of RAM goes for RM5,999.

It’s offered in two colours: Ceramic White and Ceramic Black.

Naturally, the Leica camera system of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is one of its main selling points. It’s made up of an impressive 1-inch Sony IMX989 primary sensor – the same one found in the Xiaomi 12S Ultra – a 50MP telephoto shooter, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with macro support.

Other specifications of the Xiaomi 13 Pro include the aforementioned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 6.73-inch 1440p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 32MP selfie camera, a 4,820mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging, and MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 7 March 2023. Those who pre-order the 256GB model (RM4,599) online can get a RM799 e-voucher from Shopee or Lazada, while offline pre-orders through Xiaomi stores will come with a 58-inch Xiaomi TV A2 worth RM2,799.

As for the limited edition Xiaomi 13 Pro in 512GB configuration, it’s only available for pre-order offline at Xiaomi stores. It’s bundled with a Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro, Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro, and a Xiaomi 33W PowerBank 10,000mAh Pocket Edition Pro.
