Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE Features 90Hz Screen & Snapdragon 778G for Only €369

Aside from the Xiaomi 11T series and the Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE – that stands for “New Edition” – has been unveiled too. It’s touted to be a lightweight, slim smartphone, and despite its slim form factor, it still has a reasonably large 4,250mAh battery and decent hardware.

So how slim and light is the 11 Lite? Well, its chassis measures only 6.81mm thin, and it tips the scales at 158g. If you’re not a fan of overly thick, hefty smartphones – which is becoming a norm these days – this mid-ranger might tickle your fancy.

As mentioned, the 11 Lite has reasonably good hardware too. It’s powered by a relatively fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, and paired to a 6.55-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate (240Hz touch response rate), it should be a decent smartphone for mobile gaming as well.

Other specifications of the 11 Lite include 6GB or 8GB of RAM, two UFS 2.2 storage options (128GB or 256GB), a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 5MP telephoto), a 20MP selfie camera, 5G connectivity, and as mentioned, a 4,250mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

No word yet from Xiaomi Malaysia on the local availability or pricing of the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, though the company did say to “stay tuned” for more details. Anyway, in Europe, the 11 Lite retails at €369, which comes up to about RM1,815.

Do note that this price tag includes VAT for the European market, so once the 11 Lite is launched here in Malaysia, it should be priced lower than this.
