Those who are over the age of 60 will soon be able to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations by simply walking into private clinics or hospitals that offer the jab. This was announced by the Health Minister, Adham Baba.
However, this initiative will only be implemented in KL and Selangor for the time being. It will eventually be introduced in other states as well, though it remains to be seen exactly when this will happen.
Aside from that, the health minister also said that industrial PPVs will be allowed to operate on a 24-hour basis in KL, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan. This is done to increase vaccination rate in the greater Klang Valley area, which are currently recording high COVID-19 daily cases.
No word yet on exactly when the walk-in COVID-19 vaccination for those over 60 will be implemented in KL and Selangor – we will update this article once we learn more about the initiative.
