vivo V30 Series Lands in Malaysia – Zeiss Triple Camera, From RM1,999

After launching the vivo Y100 just a couple of weeks ago, the Chinese company is introducing yet another range of smartphones in Malaysia today. The vivo V30 series is made up of the standard V30 and V30 Pro, and in the case of the latter, it even has a Zeiss-branded triple camera system.

For the Malaysian market, the V30 is offered in two variants (12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB) while the V30 Pro is offered in the sole 12GB + 512GB configuration. As for pricing, the V30 goes for RM1,999 and RM2,199 for the 256GB and 512GB models respectively, while the V30 Pro retails at RM2,599.

Interestingly, the first 10 customers who purchase the 256GB variant of the V30 can get a free upgrade to the 512GB model.

For that kind of money, the V30 Pro features a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, a 6.78-inch 2800 x 1260 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the aforementioned Zeiss triple camera system (50MP main + 50MP telephoto portrait + 50MP ultra-wide), a 50MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging.

As for the more affordable V30, it shares mostly the same hardware as the Pro model, though it has a more modest double camera array made up of a 50MP main shooter and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. It is also powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset instead of the Pro’s MediaTek chip.

The vivo V30 will be available for pre-order in Malaysia first from 13 March today to 15 March for RM1,999 and RM2,199 for the 256GB and 512GB models respectively. As for the higher-end V30 Pro, pre-orders for the phone will be open from 27 to 29 March for RM2,599. Up to RM825 worth of freebies are also up for grabs for those who pre-order either phones.
