Video: Watch How the 2022 Perodua Alza Handle a Crash Test – 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Rating

Safety is one area Perodua puts a lot of focus on, so it’s no surprise that the new 2022 Perodua Alza got the full 5-star rating in the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP). In the crash test, the MPV received an overall score of 81.64 points.

Under ASEAN NCAP’s current testing protocol, the Alza was tested in four categories. It got 36.20 points in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), 16.88 points in Child Occupant Protection (COP), 18.57 points in Safety Assist (SA), and 10 points in Motorcyclist Safety (MS).

With an overall score of 81.64 points, the new Alza meets the requirements for a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating.

“The new Perodua Alza is Perodua’s second model assessed under the ASEAN NCAP protocol for 2021-2025. Despite ASEAN NCAP’s latest requirements for safety in its current protocol, Perodua has indeed rose to the occasion by installing several key safety assist technologies as standard fitment in all its variants,” said the director-general of MIROS, Dato’ Dr. Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim.

“As such we are proud that Malaysian’s local manufacturers have been progressive in vehicle safety by adhering to ASEAN NCAP’s strict requirements,” he added. You can look at the full report of the 2022 Alza’s crash test by ASEAN NCAP over here.
