The Gazzew Boba U4T Thocky is one of the best tactile switches we’ve reviewed, and we’re confident it has the potential to be the absolute best choice for folks that want a switch with a very pronounced tactile bump and a deep, low pitch “thocky” sound signature. Not quite convinced? Then check out our video review below with a sound test of the switch on the ai03 Vega!
Manufactured by Outemu, the Boba U4T is available in either 62g or 68g springs; we got the latter for this review. As mentioned, the U4T has a deep sound signature and strong tactile bump. Thanks to its tight housing tolerance, it also has (practically) no stem wobble at all.
If there’s any downside to the Gazzew Boba U4T, it would be the relatively limited availability of this switch. As far as we can tell, only MKZealots on AliExpress and GKESports on Taobao have the switch in stock right now. Nonetheless, there’s no denying that the Boba U4T is a fantastic tactile switch that can even take on the iconic Holy Panda.
