Nvidia released a slew of new graphics cards lately, and this latest one, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, is arguably its most exciting GPU yet. Not only is it faster than the RTX 2080 Super (!), it is also the most affordable RTX 3000 series graphics card so far.
According to Lowyat.NET, the RTX 3060 Ti will retail from only RM1,880 for the Malaysian market. Given the level of performance it offers, you are getting a lot of value for your money at this price point. After all, even the RTX 2080 Super – which is, again, slower than the RTX 3060 Ti – is still listed above the RM3,000 price point right now.
In terms of hardware, the RTX 3060 Ti is actually very similar to the RTX 3070. Both of them use the same GA104 GPU with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, though the 3060 Ti do come with less CUDA cores (4864 versus 5888) and lower clock speeds.
Despite that, the RTX 3060 Ti can actually match the performance level of the RTX 3070 quite a bit. Looking at early benchmarks done by Tom’s Hardware, the 3060 Ti is only about 2% to 7% slower compared to its higher-end sibling; that’s very, very respectable.
According to Nvidia, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti will be available for purchase in Malaysia from today onwards. Gigabyte, for one, already revealed the local prices of its RTX 3060 Ti GPUs, which start at only RM1,969 for the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Eagle 8G.
