The Ministry of Health (MOH) just announced that temperature checks are no longer a part of COVID-19 SOP. Moving forward, it’s only mandatory to check in to a particular premise with the MySejahtera app.
This decision to remove temperature checks from the COVID-19 SOP will be brought forward by MOH to the National Security Council (MKN). Of course, the official SOP will be updated to reflect this change in the near future.
Previously, temperature checks were mandatory to check if an individual has a fever – one of the symptoms of COVID-19. Folks who don’t pass the temperature check won’t be allowed to enter a particular premise. But given the high vaccination rate in Malaysia now (there’s less chance of transmission), it’s likely the SOP is revised to reflect this.
