The Predator League 2024 in Manila, The Philippines has concluded, and the winners of the Valorant and Dota 2 tournament are Team Secret and Blacklist Rivalry respectively. It’s no surprise that the two Filipino teams emerge victorious, given that they are some of the strongest teams in the region that were also directly invited to the tournament by Acer Philippines.
Of the $200,000 combined prize pool between Valorant and Dota 2 for Predator League 2024, Team Secret and Blacklist Rivalry walk away with $65,000 (about RM302,055) in winnings each. Team Secret bested Japan’s Fav Gaming to claim the throne, while Blacklist Rivalry was victorious against fellow Filipino team Execration in a best-of-three match.
Of course, Fav Gaming and Execration still won a respectable amount of money by coming in second; each team receive $20,000 (around RM92,940) in winnings. Teams that placed third and fourth in the Valorant and Dota 2 tournament, on the other hand, win $7,500 (approximately RM34,850) in prize money. These include Boom Esports and Team Flash for Valorant, as well as Aster.Aries and IHC Esports for Dota 2.
At the closing ceremony of Predator League 2024, Acer announced again that the next (and sixth) instalment of the tournament will take place in our home country, Malaysia. It remains to be seen what games will be chosen for Predator League 2025, though there’s a good chance Valorant and Dota 2 will be retained.
