If you’re a full-time student or between the age of 18 to 20, you can claim RM150 worth of credit from four ewallet services in Malaysia sometime in the middle of April 2022 next month. This is a part of the government’s ePemula cashless transaction scheme.
Youths and students can claim the RM150 credit from one of these four ewallet services: ShopeePay, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, BigPay, or GrabPay. The method of claiming the ePemula credit will depend on each ewallet service.

The ePemula programme is a RM300 million initiative, and it will benefit over two million youths. In retrospect, this is very similar to the government’s previous initiatives, including eBelia to promote cashless payments.
No word yet on when exactly youths and students can claim the RM150 credit from these four ewallet services. We expect more information to be revealed as we approach the middle of April 2022 – that’s when the programme is expected to begin.
