Sony Xperia 1 III Malaysian Pre-Orders Open for RM5,799 – Free WF-1000XM3

The Malaysian pricing of the Sony Xperia 1 III was revealed just last week, and Sony Malaysia is finally opening pre-orders for the flagship smartphone. To attract early birds, the company is even throwing in a free Sony WF-1000XM3 wireless earbuds with every pre-order of the phone.

Retailing at RM5,799, the Xperia 1 III is quite a costly flagship smartphone, though you do get a number of unique features. For that kind of money, you also get 256GB of expandable storage and 12GB of RAM; decent capacities. There are also two colour options: Frosted Purple and Frosted Black.

One of the main highlights of the Xperia 1 III is its “variable telephoto lens” system that allows the 12MP telephoto sensor of the to change its focal length between 70mm to 105mm. The system is also paired with a “Dual PD sensor,” which promises fast autofocus speeds, even when switching between different focal lengths.

Complementing the telephoto lens of the Xperia 1 III is a 12MP primary sensor, along with a 12MP ultra-wide angle shooter. Other specifications of the flagship phone include a sharp and vibrant 120Hz 6.5-inch 4K OLED screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, an 8MP selfie camera, a 4,500mAh battery, and an IP65/IP68 rating.

The Sony Xperia 1 III is now available for pre-order in Malaysia for RM5,799. Those who place an order for the flagship device by 15 August will also receive a WF-1000XM3 wireless earbuds worth RM849 for free.
