Sony WF-SP800N Wireless Earbuds With ANC & IP55 Rating Now in Malaysia for RM849

Sony’s range of wireless earbuds have gotten pretty good in recent times, and the Japanese company’s latest product, the Sony WF-SP800N, seems to continue the trend. It’s now available here in Malaysia, and it brings some notable improvements, including active noise cancellation, improved battery life, and better water resistance.

For the Malaysian market, the WF-SP800N retail at RM849. While that’s not a particularly affordable price tag, it’s not exactly the most costly earbuds either. Plus, you’re getting active noise cancellation here; not many wireless earbuds come with this feature, especially at this price point.

Besides that, all four colours of the WF-SP800N earbuds are offered locally as well, including Orange, Blue, White, and of course, Black.

Compared to its predecessor, the WF-SP700N – which only had an IPX4 rating – the new WF-SP800N sports a better IP55 water and dust resistance. This makes it much more ideal for those who want to use the earbuds while working out; you won’t have to worry about water damage in the long run. Sony says that the earbuds can even be washed to keep it clean after strenuous workouts.

Also improved accordingly is the battery life of the WF-SP800N. According to Sony, the wireless earbuds can last for up to 13 hours on a single charge, and the charging case has enough juice to recharge the earbuds once. Basically, you’re getting up to 26 hours of play time here, which is really quite impressive.

That being said, you can only get that level of battery life with the active noise cancellation disabled. With the feature switched on, the WF-SP800N can offer up to nine hours of use instead. That’s still very good battery life, of course, and it can be extended up to 18 hours with the charging case.

Sony is also highlighting the audio quality of the WF-SP800N; more specifically, the bass performance. Sony promises that these earbuds can deliver “powerful, punchy low-end sound,” so it’ll be interesting to see if this is really the case. We’ll definitely put this to the test once we have it in for review.

The Sony WF-SP800N wireless earbuds are now available for purchase in Malaysia for RM849. If you’ve been looking to get a pair of earbuds for your workouts, consider this one – especially if you want a lot of bass.
