Remember the custom SingaKBD Unikorn keyboard – belonging to the founder of the Malaysian keyboard brand herself – that went up for auction last week? Well, it was sold at a whopping $7,778, which comes up to about RM32,585.
Given that the custom keyboard itself is a stainless steel, limited edition SG Unikorn (only 12 units are available worldwide), it’s no surprise that it managed to fetch such a high price. It’s for a good cause too: 100% of the winning bid has been donated to GlobalGiving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.

Compared to a standard Unikorn, one of the most unique features of the custom SG Unikorn is its choice of material. Made of stainless steel, it weighs 2.7kg unbuilt. Keep in mind that this is also a compact 60% keyboard, which really shows just how heavy it is.
If you’re keen to get the SingaKBD Unikorn, you’ll be happy to know that the in-stock raffle sale for the popular keyboard will be happening soon. So far, four colours have been teased: Berlin Blue, Reseda Green, Flamenco Red, and Pewter Grey.
