Shopee just released some interesting insights on its 3.15 Consumer Day sale last week. One Shopee user, for example, spent a whopping RM247,000 on that day itself.
So what exactly did the user buy? Well, Shopee said the individual bought home appliances, including various vacuum cleaners and a smart TV to reach that impressive figure. Aside from that, in the first two hours of the sale alone, five times more items were sold on Shopee compared to an average day.

Of course, just like other Shopee mega sales, the e-commerce platform offered a slew of vouchers for users to collect. In fact, over 36 million vouchers were claimed by users per hour on 15 March. ShopeePay transactions also increased by up to 3.5 times.
“We are happy to see more people finding time to celebrate and reward themselves at our first 3.15 Consumer Day,” said the head of marketing campaigns at Shopee Malaysia, Kenneth Soh. “The year has only just begun, and users can look forward to even more exciting activities to enjoy in the months ahead,” he added.
